Description of the artwork
In Blue Fish Meditation, artist Ivan Cagnani explores the dynamism of abstraction through a chromatic explosion that evokes the fluidity of the aquatic element. The composition unfolds on a vibrant, almost textured white background, against which stands a central structure dense with energy. Patches of acid green and sunny yellow seem to emerge from a deep core of purple and blue, creating a contrast that simulates the reflection of light on submerged vegetation or the sudden movement of a marine creature.
The artistic gesture is swift and liberating: broad horizontal brushstrokes and splashes of color suggest a sense of speed and temporal suspension. Despite the apparent visual chaos, the artwork exudes a profound sense of meditative balance. The "blue fish" mentioned in the title is not a literal figure, but a perceived entity, a flash of awareness that traverses the visual field of the soul.
The artwork masterfully plays with the transparency typical of digital watercolor, where overlapping layers create new shades and depths. The choice of cool tones, punctuated by warm and luminous accents, invites the viewer into a sensory immersion, transforming the aluminum surface into an abstract body of water where thoughts can be reflected and find peace.
The artwork is created on an aluminum support: a rigid, flat, and durable surface that enhances the brilliance and depth of the colors. It is the ideal choice for abstract art and modern spaces seeking a bold and regenerating piece.
