Description of the work

In Artemide, Baldo Ingrassia transcends classical figuration and immerses the subject in a vortex of chromatic energy. A stylized female figure, with her face turned upwards, emerges from fluid and dynamic brushstrokes in a gesture of surrender and inner listening.

The deep blue evokes introspection and memory, the greens suggest regeneration and vital continuity, while the warm accents introduce the energy of change. The sinuous lines cross the composition like currents of water, thoughts in motion, or gusts of wind.

The figure is not a portrait, but an archetype of consciousness that allows itself to be traversed by experience. The body seems to be born and dissolve in the pictorial matter, expressing rebirth, fluid identity, and spiritual connection with nature.
