Description of the artwork
In Burattina, Ivano Petrucci places the viewer face-to-face with the direct gaze of a little girl. Her blue eyes become the center of the composition and a silent question: who pulls the strings and who is truly free?
The face is defined with precision, while the figure dissolves into turquoise, earth, red, and white brushstrokes. An adult hand descends from above in a gesture suspended between protection and control. The artwork addresses the theme of conditional freedom and identity in formation.
