Description of the artwork
In Women of yesterday, today, tomorrow, Baldo Ingrassia represents the female face as a symbol of time. The profile, traced with an essential and continuous line, does not belong to a specific person but to a collective memory. The figure emerges from a natural landscape made of trees, water and light, elements that evoke growth, roots and transformation.
The green and blue hues suggest the continuity of life and nature, while the floral presences introduce the idea of rebirth. The face appears simultaneously young and ancient: it is a timeless figure, capable of spanning different generations.
The artwork reflects on the female condition as a universal experience. The past, the present and the future are not separate but coexist in the same image. The woman thus becomes a custodian of memory and possibility, a point of union between tradition and change.
