Description of the artwork
In this artwork, Baldo Ingrassia explores the dimension of dreams and the deconstruction of reality. Against a deep black background, evoking the infinity of the cosmos or the emptiness of the mind during reflection, symbolic elements and landscape fragments float within irregular geometric shapes.
These colorful "windows" act as portals to parallel worlds: portions of lush nature, purple skies, and abstract valleys coexist in a weightless space. Gold, used to outline stylized trees, leaves, and the frames that define the artwork, elevates the composition to a sacred and precious dimension.
The artist presents a personal cosmogony where natural elements (the tree, the leaf) and man-made elements (the small golden village in the center) seek a balance between the straight lines of rationality and the chromatic explosion of emotion. The shower of meteors or luminous streaks in the upper part suggests constant movement, a becoming that never stops.
