Description of the work
In My Dreams Fly High, Giorgio De Camillis presents a dreamlike and hopeful vision, in which the theme of ascent intertwines with that of imagination. A female figure sits on a swing suspended in the void, surrounded by a flock of birds that seems to accompany her upwards.
The color gradation moves from the warm and sepia tones of the base to a bright yellow, suggesting the transition from the heaviness of matter to the lightness of desire.
The swing is no longer just a toy, but a vehicle towards infinity. The figure represents the individual journey towards the unknown and transforms solitude into a moment of connection with one's aspirations.
