Artist: Stefano D'Acunto
Title: The Young Bacchus
Type: certified artist reproduction
Year: contemporary
Description of the work
In The Young Bacchus, Stefano D'Acunto reinterprets the classical iconography of Bacchus in an atmosphere suspended between the Baroque and the contemporary. A young man crowned with vine leaves holds a bunch of grapes and meets the viewer's gaze with serene complicity.
Caravaggesque light emerges from the dark background and shapes the body, the white fabrics, and the red draperies. The still life in the foreground, with autumn fruit and a glass of wine, celebrates abundance and earthly pleasures. The work renews the ancient myth, transforming it into a reflection on youth, beauty, and the present time.
