Description of the work
In The Step of Silence, Aldo Palin depicts a dog walking on a snowy beach, framed by the beach huts closed for the season. The scene is one of great solitude and at the same time of great freedom: the dog advances with a steady pace in the winter silence, embodying the resilience of those who know how to find their way even when the world seems deserted. The snow and the sea blend into a palette of whites and grays of rare elegance.
The work belongs to Aldo Palin's photographic research on the landscape as a mirror of human interiority: real places transformed by light and atmosphere into thresholds between the visible and the invisible.
