Description of the work

In Inversione di Struttura, Giorgio De Camillis constructs a rarefied scene in which the boundary between engineering and conceptual abstraction dissolves into a chromatic negative. The rigorous and perspectival composition is defined by the lines of the pylons of a bridge, which frame a wooded horizon and transform the infrastructure into a space of passage and reflection.

The chromatic gradation leads from the deep blacks of the sky towards the luminous grays of the inverted structures, suggesting the transition from the heaviness of function to the lightness of perception.
