Description of the artwork
In this artwork, Baldo Ingrassia creates a constellation of icons of knowledge and everyday life. An open book dominates the scene, symbolizing a story still being written or ancient wisdom guiding the present. Beside it, a bunch of grapes and the silhouettes of birds in flight evoke the pleasures of the earth and the desire for freedom.
Once again, Ingrassia incorporates fragments of colorful landscapes that contrast with the rigor of the golden lines. It is a celebration of culture and nature as pillars of human identity: a visual archive where every element is a trace left by man's passage through the world.
The artwork addresses the theme of collective and individual memory, where every symbol becomes a fragment of a larger story, a repository of experiences that span time and space.
