Description of the work

In L’Incisione Celeste, Giorgio De Camillis constructs a vision in which the tangible world and the dreamlike dimension meet in the embrace between concrete and sky. The extreme angle of the building cuts into the deep blue like a geometric blade, surrounded by white clouds suspended in an apparently infinite space.

Architecture becomes a state of mind. The color gradation leads from the warm and textured tones of raw concrete towards the luminous blue of the sky, suggesting the transition from the heaviness of matter to the lightness of thought. The building thus transforms into a symbol of aspiration, a bridge between earth and infinity.

The contrast between the solidity of the structure and the openness of the sky invites reflection on distance, scale, and the human desire to overcome one's boundaries.
