Description of the artwork
In The Goddess of Fantasy, artist Ivano Petrucci brings to life a captivating figure that embodies the free and generative spirit of imagination. The protagonist, captured in a moment of ecstatic joy and open laughter, seems to emerge from a veritable explosion of creative thought, made visible through a shower of vibrant chromatic fragments that crown her head like a divine aura.
The composition celebrates dynamism: the left arm raised in a gesture of dance or invocation and the right hand brought to the chest create an upward movement that draws the viewer's gaze toward the sky. The figure, rendered in delicate pink tones, stands out against a luminous white background, enriched by broad strokes of pure color — primary yellows, bright reds, and intense blues — representing the unstoppable flow of fantasy that transforms and colors the surrounding reality.
The artwork explores the power of the feminine as a creative force: the goddess is not a distant entity, but a vital and immanent presence that invites the viewer to participate in her sensory celebration. The richness of the technique, where acrylic meets oil in a dialogue of texture and transparency, conveys a sense of profound vitality and optimism.
