Description of the artwork
In La Fine del Giorno, Claudio Giulianelli creates a scene suspended between reality and imagination. Enigmatic figures inhabit an open, luminous space, dominated by a vibrant sky and an almost surreal golden land. In the center, an elongated, silent female figure dressed in red seems to orchestrate the narrative with subtle, mysterious gestures.
The minor figures evoke play, memory, and representation, oscillating between innocence and fiction. The minimalist landscape becomes a mental space; intense blues and warm yellows are interrupted by the red of the protagonist, the emotional and symbolic focal point of the composition.
The elongated shadows suggest an eternal twilight. Each figure seems to play a role, as if reality were a fragile stage crossed by dreams, memories, and fragments of consciousness.
