In Libido Contorta, Ivano Petrucci explores desire in its most complex form: intertwined, contradictory, powerful, and fragile. Two bodies merge in an embrace that is at once union and tension.
The almost Cubist structure fragments the figures into vertical planes of turquoise, ochre, green, red, and white. Desire becomes a field of forces in which attraction and fear, possession and surrender, identity and dissolution coexist.
