Description of the artwork
In L’Infinito, Baldo Ingrassia develops a figure immersed in cosmic space. The face, built through fluid brushstrokes and chromatic overlays, emerges from a dynamic environment made of light, trajectories, and fragments of color.
The deep blues evoke the universe and the inner dimension, while the luminous marks and golden drops suggest energy and continuous movement. The figure is not a realistic portrait, but a symbolic presence that seems to dissolve and recompose itself in the pictorial space.
The artwork addresses the theme of perception and consciousness. Infinity is not represented as a distant place, but as a state of mind. The face becomes the meeting point between individual and universe, thought and matter.
