Description of the work

In The Demiurges' Agreement, Ivano Petrucci constructs a cosmogonic and primordial vision, where two creative forces meet in a silent and powerful dialogue. The composition is dominated by a central bearded figure, an archetype of the creator, who holds a luminous object in their hands, the seed of the world, while a second, more ethereal presence intertwines with it in an embrace of complementary energies.

The movement is not physical, but metaphysical. The forms wrap themselves in continuous spirals: vortices of turquoise, ochre, red, and green intertwine like currents of a universe still forming. The work does not describe the created, but the suspended moment in which will becomes matter.

The warm and vibrant palette knows no clear boundaries. Every color is born from another and every form dissolves into the next. A luminous circle evokes a rising sun or a divine eye, witness to the agreement between the demiurges.

The work addresses the theme of shared creation: a dialectic between light and shadow, matter and spirit, order and chaos, which finds its reason for being in agreement.
