Description of the work
In Love Escape, Giorgio De Camillis presents a dreamlike vision in which the theme of escape intertwines with that of romantic love. Two figures are captured in dynamic suspension: he runs holding a lantern, while she seems to float surrounded by a flock of birds.
The lantern becomes a symbol of hope and direction, a light that guides the couple's path into the unknown. The bare branches suggest the transition from the stasis of the past to the search for a new awareness.
The flight of the birds represents thoughts and desires breaking free from the gravity of matter. Love's escape thus transforms into an image of freedom, trust, and connection.
