Description of the artwork

In Messages from Time, Stefano D'Acunto composes a contemporary still life that brings different eras of human communication into dialogue. Emerging from the theatrical darkness is a carrier pigeon with a rolled-up message, a dynamic presence among immobile objects laden with memory.

On an antique writing desk coexist a rotary phone, a sealed letter, an inkwell with a pen, and a bottle containing a message. The raking light reveals feathers, glass, and wood, transforming each element into a guardian of words and expectations. The work reflects on the persistence of thought and the value of the time required for a communication to reach its destination.
