In Metamorfosi ieri domani, Baldo Ingrassia constructs a symbolic narrative in which time and memory intertwine. Fragments of landscape, evocative objects, and linear marks coexist in a deep black space that acts as a mental dimension.
Geometric shapes frame visions of nature and chromatic horizons, suggesting transitions between reality and memory. The golden elements, resembling icons or traces, introduce references to everyday life and travel: a house, objects, the sea, and a boat.
The work reflects on the relationship between past and future. Yesterday appears as memory, tomorrow as possibility. The metamorphosis in the title indicates the continuous change of identity, while the painting becomes an existential map and an inner journey.
