Description of the work

In Beyond the Rain, Mavet transforms the urban view into an almost abstract composition, where architectural elements and human presences blend in a play of reflections and transparencies. The visual focus is represented by a large blue umbrella that, like a protective shell, hovers over the scene, while strokes of vibrant yellow suggest the presence of a taxi or city lights cutting through the grayness of the wet pavement.

The deconstruction of forms, which recalls the language of synthetic cubism reinterpreted through a digital lens, creates a dynamic depth: the surface of the work seems to vibrate under the impact of the water, transforming the city into a kaleidoscope of emotions and colors. The cool tones of blue and turquoise contrast harmoniously with the warmth of the city lights, inviting the observer to reflect on the frantic pace of the metropolis contrasted with the meditative isolation offered by a moment of rain. In this scenario, every silhouette becomes a fragment of memory, a trace of life that crosses the space leaving a lasting chromatic imprint.
