Description of the Artwork

In Gold and Silver or Reflection No. 1, Ivano Petrucci transforms the human face into a mirror of a metaphysical dimension. Light seems to emanate from the subject, fragmenting and reassembling itself in the features.

The warm tones of gold and the cool luster of silver tell the story of the transition from matter to awareness. The reflection does not merely return an image, but invites the viewer to look beyond form, toward the inner light.
