Description of the artwork
In Planets, Baldo Ingrassia creates a composition suspended between the cosmic dimension and everyday life. Celestial spheres, architecture, and human traces coexist in the same pictorial space, creating a landscape that belongs neither to the earth nor to the sky, but to inner perception.
The circular forms evoke planetary bodies and natural cycles, while the small stylized figures introduce the presence of man as observer and traveler. The chromatic trajectories cross the surface like meteors or energy currents, suggesting continuous movement and transformation.
The artwork reflects on the relationship between the individual and the universe: the human being appears small yet central, embedded in a broader system made of time, memory, and space.
The sky is not merely a natural environment but a metaphor for the mind and its connections.
