Description of the work

«Light surrounds me, open windows that perhaps will never close my childhood memories, an eternal gaze towards the alleys of my existence.»

In Plants of Planets, Baldo Ingrassia builds an image suspended between botany and the cosmos. The plant elements transform into celestial bodies: the corollas become planets, while the branches take on the role of connections between earth and the universe.

The deep black background suggests an infinite space in which nature grows as vital energy. Yellows, greens, and oranges emerge from the darkness and generate a cosmic flowering with a strong visual contrast.

The work explores the continuity between microcosm and macrocosm: that which is small and natural reflects that which is immense. The growth of the plant becomes a metaphor for evolution, while the floral planets suggest that life and the universe share the same origin.
