Description of the work

In Urban Projections, Giorgio De Camillis brings contemporary architecture into dialogue with the city's historic fabric. The projecting volume of a building frames a fragment of classical architecture, creating a rigorous, perspectival composition suspended between past and future.

The color palette ranges from the white of concrete to the deep blue of the sky, suggesting a movement from the solidity of matter to the lightness of the design concept. The large mirrored window cuts across the scene, reflecting the city's memory within new forms of living.

Architectural surfaces meet the green of the leaves in the foreground. Weight and lightness, nature and artifice, memory and progress become part of the same urban identity.
