Description of the work

In Parallel Perspectives, Mavet deconstructs urban space into a rigorous interplay of lines and chromatic contrasts, where the human figure becomes the focal point of an abstract architecture. The work is dominated by an accentuated graphic dynamism: the white stripes on the ground and the geometries of the buildings merge into a single perspective vision, suggesting the incessant and orderly rhythm of metropolitan life.

At the center of the composition, dark and distinct silhouettes cross the space, representing the individual journey that intertwines with the collective flow. The use of saturated colors, where the bright yellow of the backgrounds contrasts with the deep blacks and off-whites of the road surface, creates a visual tension that evokes the energy and noise of the city. The work addresses the theme of identity in transit: the figures, although lacking defined facial features, possess a magnetic presence, emphasized by the long shadows and the precision of the contours. In this scenario, the city is not an obstacle, but a grid of possibilities, a theater where every step contributes to defining the complex geometry of contemporary awareness.
