Photographer: Lory Nox
Title: Farnus
Type: fine art photography
Year: contemporary

Description of the work

In Farnus, Lory Nox captures a forest in black and white with a highly intense composition. The trunks stand out vertically and powerfully, while the light filters through the treetops creating a sharp contrast between illuminated areas and deep shadows. The vertical format accentuates the upward reach of the trees and transforms the forest into a natural architecture.

The work belongs to Lory Nox's photographic research on the natural landscape of the Trieste area and the Karst: familiar places transformed by light and atmosphere into visions suspended between documentation and visual poetry.
