Description of the work
In Rebirth of Fire, Mavet transforms an apparently everyday scene into a powerful visual metaphor of transformation and rebirth. At the center of the composition emerges a dark and compact figure, almost an archetypal silhouette, that seems to rise from a bright flame. The fire does not appear destructive, but vital: a primordial energy that illuminates the entire scene with intense shades of red, orange, and gold.
The shapes surrounding the central core take on dynamic and almost organic contours, expanding upwards like petals or suspended sparks, suggesting an ascending movement that recalls the idea of spiritual elevation. The composition is built around a strong contrast: the density of the lower shadows opposes the incandescent brightness of the upper part. In this dialogue between darkness and light, the central theme of the work manifests: the passage from the depth of experience to the possibility of rebirth. Fire becomes a symbolic altar, a place of purification and regeneration, while the surrounding elements seem to participate in a silent dance of energy and matter.
