Description of the work

In White Silence, Giorgio De Camillis creates a portrait of intense emotional power, in which the physical presence seems to dissolve into the whiteness of the image. A female figure with a shaved head emerges as an icon of vulnerability and determination. Her closed eyes, accentuated by graphic makeup, suggest a withdrawal from the outside world and an entry into a space of profound introspection.

The face reveals every line and reflection with sincerity, transforming subtraction into a gesture of purity and freedom. The necklace of transparent elements introduces a fragile and luminous note, as if thoughts were floating around the figure.

The work explores rebirth through essentialism: removing the superfluous to reach what remains authentic. Inner silence thus becomes the place where fragility and strength coincide.
