Description of the artwork
In this artwork, Baldo Ingrassia translates the unstable dynamics of creative thought into painting. The work is dominated by a deep, nocturnal blue that seems to tear open, making room for white and grey painterly gestures, like currents of air or flows of energy crossing the space of the canvas.
In the upper part, a graphic and convoluted white line stands out like lightning or mental calligraphy, representing the intuition that appears in the darkness of uncertainty. Towards the bottom, the composition warms with touches of orange and ochre, textured patches of color that seem like fragments of reality or sparks of life clustering together to give shape to something new.
The artwork addresses the theme of the balance between order and disorder. It does not seek to represent a finished scene, but the very process of becoming: that moment when chaos begins to organize itself into meaning, and beauty emerges from the power of painterly instinct. The architectures are only suggested, almost transparent: stylized golden arches evoke the threshold between the visible world and the imaginary one.
