Description of the work

In Sipario dell'Anima, Giorgio De Camillis stages a gesture laden with meaning: a male figure pulls aside a heavy dark drapery, opening a threshold between tangible reality and an unexplored inner dimension. The curtain becomes a metaphor for the act of opening up and revealing what normally remains hidden.

The figure is captured at the exact moment of opening, when before and after coexist in a suspended space. The light that filters through contrasts with the darkness of the drapery and transforms the scene into a reflection on the courage to show oneself and on the possibility of entering into an authentic connection with others.
