Type: fine art photography
Year: contemporary

Description of the work

In Spirit of the Waterfall, Giorgio De Camillis captures a moment of communion between the human being and the primal force of nature. A solitary figure welcomes the impetuosity of the waterfall, transforming the contact with the water into a ritual of purification and rebirth.

The movement of the water envelops the figure like a veil of light and transparency. The cool and luminous tones contrast with the presence of the skin, evoking the duality between human fragility and the power of nature. The waterfall becomes a metaphor for the passage of time and the ability to let life flow through us.
