Description of the artwork
In Il Vizio, Stefano D'Acunto reinterprets the still life through symbols of pleasure, risk, and transience. A bottle of whisky, a glass, playing cards, and a chessboard compose a scene of lived life; a red rose introduces the theme of ephemeral beauty.
A thin trail of smoke makes the passage of time visible, while sheets of paper and notes suggest a decision suspended. The directional light transforms everyday clutter into a collected composition, inviting reflection on desire, habits, and the fragility of pleasures.
