Description of the artwork

In Urban Velocity, Mavet captures the very essence of contemporary dynamism, transforming city traffic into an explosion of kinetic energy. The image is dominated by a radial zoom burst effect that draws the eye toward the center of the scene, where the forms of a vehicle dissolve into streaks of pure color.

It is a visceral representation of the accelerated pace of modern life, where the city is no longer a static place but a continuous flow of light and matter. The color palette is bold and full of contrasts: bright reds and fiery oranges meet touches of electric blue and aqua green, creating a visual tension that evokes the heat of the asphalt and the speed of movement.

The silhouettes of buildings and vehicles blend into an abstract dance of lines and patches, losing their physical boundaries to become symbols of a perpetual transition. The artwork addresses the theme of impermanence: in the ordered chaos of the metropolis, the instant does not stop time, but emphasizes its unstoppable flow.
