Description of the work

In The Silent Vortex, Giorgio De Camillis creates a hypnotic and layered vision. A spiral structure alters the perception of space and guides the eye toward a central point of stillness, like a tunnel composed of continuously twisting linear elements.

At the center emerges a small human figure, isolated and almost absorbed by the monumentality of the architecture. Its presence becomes an image of the individual condition: fragile, yet aware of its own path within a complex reality.

The overlapping layers and textures dissolve the boundary between inside and outside. The vortex represents the flow of thought and the spiral of time, while the motionless figure maintains the tension between stasis and movement, control and surrender.
