Description of the work
In L’Ora di Pietra, Giorgio De Camillis constructs a rarefied scene in which the tangible body and the dreamlike dimension merge through chromatic and material overlays. Fragmented textures frame a reclining nude, an image of abandonment and psychological refuge.
The color gradation moves from electric blues and deep purples toward an ethereal and luminous white, suggesting the transition from the heaviness of the flesh to the lightness of thought. Abstract veins cross the image like traces of an inner journey.
The cold and saturated tones meet the graphic precision of the body. The overexposure does not erase the detail, but becomes a veil that protects intimacy and transforms vulnerability into a contemplative condition.
