Photographer: Giorgio De Camillis
Title: La Soglia Liquida
Type: fine art photography
Year: contemporary
Description of the work
In La Soglia Liquida, Giorgio De Camillis creates a vision suspended between matter and dissolution. The human body emerges and merges with a fluid, organic surface, resembling a membrane that both separates and connects two dimensions.
A female figure, captured in the act of crossing, seems to be born or dissolve within an oval shape reminiscent of a shell, a planet, or a primordial cell. The body, only partially visible and intersected by interference, remains suspended in a state of transition without defined coordinates.
The tones range from oxidized blue to warm copper, evoking erosion, oxidation, and the passage of time on matter. The work reflects on the boundary between inside and outside, protection and imprisonment, identity and metamorphosis.
