Description of the work

In La Soglia Liquida, Giorgio De Camillis constructs a vision suspended between matter and dissolution. The human body emerges and merges with a fluid and organic surface, similar to a membrane that separates and, at the same time, connects two dimensions.

A female figure caught in the act of crossing seems to be born or dissolve inside an oval shape that evokes a shell, a planet, or a primordial cell. The body, only partially visible and crossed by interference, remains suspended in a state of passage devoid of defined coordinates.

The tones oscillate between oxidized blue and warm copper, evoking erosion, oxidation, and the passage of time on matter. The work reflects on the boundary between inside and outside, protection and imprisonment, identity and metamorphosis.
