Description of the work

In Canovella, Lory Nox depicts the rocky shore and the wood smoothed by the water of an Adriatic coast. The pebbles and logs bleached by the sun and the sea compose a natural still life of great formal elegance. The black and white enhances the textures and tonal contrasts, transforming the coastal landscape into an almost abstract composition.

The work belongs to Lory Nox's photographic research on the Trieste territory: the coast as a meeting place between the force of the sea and the patience of the stone, between geological and human time.
